Description
Duku Changdong (regional name of this machete in Brunei and Indonesia), has a slightly curve shaped blade, with an overall length 22 inches.
It is used in clearing path in the jungle and also a farming and housing tool.
The first 6 inches of the blade from the handle edge is unsharpened for better control and safer handling in shaving or sharpening wooden sticks.
The pommel end of the sword is flat and has a hammer shaped for crushing ingredients for cooking
This design makes it a multi-use tool not only for hacking but for shaving raatan sticks or twigs and crushing or pounding food ingredients.
