These pair of handmade/hand forged swords are identical in make and weight but one unsharpened for sword drawing or Iaido training and the other, sharpened for tatami mat cutting and for “live” sword drawing (for experienced  practitioners) The Brown Sayas are  Rattan Wrapped  (in the Koiguchii area )  These swords are over 2 pounds each for arm conditioning in drawing and tatami mat cutting. With minimal adjustment, one can train sword drawing and sheathing with the unsharpened sword before transitioning to the  sharpened sword.
